Our premium fabrics can withstand your hardest and sweatiest training sessions, but they deserve a little TLC in terms of care and laundering.

Below are some tips to keep your gear smelling fresh and ensure the longest life possible for your Brava apparel.

HOW TO CARE FOR BRAVA CLOTHING

Follow the instructions to avoid pilling and preserve the fabric's appearance.

  • Avoid repetitively rubbing the fabric in the same areas, such as hydration packs, backpacks, or waist belts.
  • Avoid sitting on rough surfaces.
  • For clothing containing a zip guard, carefully place the zip guard along the fastener to avoid chafing.
  • Rinse thoroughly clothing that has been in contact with chlorine to extend the lifespan of your garment.

No exchange or refund for wear and tear resulting from improper product use will be granted.

LAUNDERING

LESS IS MORE

Use a residue-free, sport specific laundry detergent (for example, Sport Suds) if possible. Don't overdo it on the detergent– too much detergent is hard to rinse out and can actually cause bacteria to buildup.

LIKE WITH LIKE

Always wash like garments and colours together.

WASH SEPERATELY

Avoid washing technical fabrics with cotton garments or other items that can cause abrasion (such as Velcro, zippers, denim, hooks, etc.). Cotton fluff tends to stick to technical fabrics and can cause products with Lycra®, which is found in almost all Brava apparel, to pile up.

SKIP THE SOFTENER

Never use bleach or fabric softener. Harsh chemicals and fabric softeners break down the technical properties of our fabrics,, including Lycra®, ruining their stretch and fit. Fabric softeners also leave a residue on fabrics, creating a barrier that inhibits wicking capabilities and locks in bad smells.
